Move to the cloud,
without losing a day's work.

Ageing servers, files on a machine under a desk, mailboxes nobody can back up. We plan the move properly, migrate your data and applications out of hours, and stay with you afterwards to keep the costs under control.

The server in the cupboard
is a deadline, not an asset.

Every on-premise server has a date on it: the day the warranty ends, the day the OS stops getting patched, or the day the drive fails. Moving to the cloud turns a capital risk into a predictable monthly cost.

What staying put actually costs

A replacement bill you can't predict

Servers don’t fail on a schedule. When one goes, it’s thousands of pounds and days of disruption, unplanned.

Out-of-support software

An unpatched server operating system is an open door, and increasingly something your insurer and your clients will ask about.

Nobody can work from anywhere

Files that only exist on the office network mean VPN faff, remote desktop workarounds, and staff emailing documents to themselves.

Single point of failure, single location

One fire, flood or burglary takes the live data and the backup drive sat next to it.

Paying for capacity you don't use

Kit specified for peak load five years ago, idling most of the week, and depreciating the whole time.

What a proper migration gives you

A predictable monthly cost

No capital purchases, no depreciation, no surprise replacement, a per-user figure you can budget against.

Work from anywhere, properly

Mail, files and applications reachable from the office, home or a client site, with security that follows the user.

Capacity that flexes

Add five users for a busy season and take them off again. Storage grows when you do, not in £2,000 steps.

Resilience built in

Enterprise data centres, redundant hardware and off-site backup, the sort of infrastructure no small business can buy outright.

Someone else doing the patching

Platform maintenance, updates and monitoring handled, by the provider and by us, not by whoever in your office is “good with computers”.

Mail, files, applications
and the identities behind them.

From a single mailbox move to a full server decommission, planned, migrated and supported end to end by the same team.

Cloud readiness assessment

We audit what you’re running: servers, applications, connections, licences and data volumes, and identify the risks before anything moves.

Migration strategy & roadmap

A staged plan with dates, dependencies, downtime windows and a rollback position for each phase, costed before we begin.

Email & Microsoft 365

Mailboxes, shared mailboxes, calendars, contacts and archives moved to Exchange Online with delta syncs so nothing is missed.

File servers & shares

Shared drives moved to SharePoint and OneDrive with folder structures and permissions mapped, not flattened.

Applications & databases

Line-of-business software rehosted on cloud servers or moved to the vendor’s hosted version, tested by real users first.

Identity & access

Users moved into Entra ID with single sign-on, MFA and conditional access, so one login governs everything cleanly.

Cloud security & compliance

Sharing rules, retention policies, encryption and audit logging configured properly, with the evidence your clients ask for.

Optimisation & cost control

Right-sizing after go-live, licence tidy-ups and unused services switched off, cloud bills creep when nobody’s watching.

Decommission & aftercare

Old kit securely wiped and retired, documentation handed over, and floor-walking support for the first week on the new setup.

Not everything should move
the same way.

Three honest options per workload. Part of our job is telling you which things are worth moving and which are better left alone for now.

Route 01Lift & shift

The server moves to cloud hosting largely as it is. Fastest route off ageing hardware, with no change for your users.

  • Quickest to deliver
  • No retraining needed
  • Best for older applications
Route 02Move to a cloud service

The workload is replaced by the platform version, mail to Exchange Online, shares to SharePoint, the app to the vendor's hosted product.

  • No server to maintain
  • Per-user, predictable cost
  • Best long-term value
Route 03Hybrid, on purpose

Some things stay put, a machine tied to hardware, a licence that won't travel, a regulator that wants data on site. We integrate rather than force it.

  • Keeps awkward systems working
  • Single sign-on across both
  • Staged over time

Whatever route each workload takes, it gets backed up, see managed backup services.

The same business,
two different platforms.

Not everything about the cloud is cheaper, it’s more predictable, more resilient and far easier to work from anywhere. Here’s the honest comparison.

On-premise server
Cloud platform
Up-front cost
Capital purchase every 4-6 years
Monthly per user, no capital outlay
Hardware failure
Your problem, at your expense
Redundant by design, invisible to you
Remote working
VPN or remote desktop workarounds
Same experience anywhere, any device
Adding people
Capacity planning and possible upgrade
Add or remove a licence the same day
Patching & updates
Manual, out of hours, often skipped
Platform maintained, endpoints managed by us
Disaster recovery
Depends entirely on your backup drive
Geographic redundancy plus managed backup
Office move or flood
Downtime, van hire, re-cabling
Staff work from home the same morning

Four stages,
and no surprises in any of them.

The reason migrations go wrong is rarely the technology. It’s an application nobody mentioned, or a cutover attempted on a Tuesday afternoon.

01Stage 1 of 4
Stage 01 · Assess

Find out what you're really running

We inventory servers, applications, mailboxes, data volumes, licences and internet connectivity, then talk to the people who actually use the awkward systems. This is where the surprises get found, while they're still cheap.

  • Full infrastructure audit
  • Dependencies mapped
  • Risks written down
Stage 02 · Plan

Agree the route, the dates and the price

Each workload gets a route, lift and shift, move to a cloud service, or stay put for now. You get a staged plan with downtime windows, a rollback position for every phase, and a fixed quote before anything is touched.

  • Route per workload
  • Downtime windows agreed
  • Fixed quote, rollback plan
Stage 03 · Migrate

Copy, test, then sync again

Data is copied while you carry on working, permissions are mapped, and real users test the new environment before commitment. The final sync and cutover happen out of hours, usually a Saturday evening, so Monday just works.

  • Copy without downtime
  • User acceptance testing
  • Cutover out of hours
Stage 04 · Optimise

Support the first month, then tune the bill

We're on hand for the settling-in period, then review what's actually being used: licences trimmed, storage right-sized, unused services switched off, and old hardware securely wiped and retired.

  • Hands-on aftercare
  • Licence & cost review
  • Old kit securely retired

Common questions

Before you get in touch.

For most businesses, none during working hours. Data is copied while you carry on as normal, and the final sync and cutover happen out of hours, usually a Saturday evening. You start Monday on the new platform.

No. Migrations run as a copy followed by delta syncs, so anything that arrives during the project is picked up at cutover. The old system stays intact and available until you’re happy, which is also the rollback position.

Very common, and no. It either gets rehosted on a cloud server as-is, or stays on site in a hybrid setup with single sign-on across both. We won’t force a system to move just to say everything’s in the cloud.

Over the life of a server it usually works out comparable or better, but the real gain is predictability and resilience: no capital purchases, no surprise failures, and no five-figure replacement year. We’ll show you the honest numbers for your setup.

A single mailbox move can be a matter of hours. A full project with a file server, line-of-business application and identity rollout is typically a few weeks, most of which is preparation and testing rather than moving data.

Once you’ve signed off on the new environment we securely wipe it and retire it, with documentation of what was decommissioned. Where kit is still useful we’ll tell you what’s worth repurposing.

Usually very little, we aim for the first Monday to feel familiar. We’re on hand during the first week for the small questions, and we’ll run short walkthroughs where something has genuinely changed, like moving from a mapped drive to SharePoint.

The initial cloud readiness assessment is free and yours to keep, including the written findings. Detailed design work on a large estate is quoted, and we’ll tell you up front if your project is in that bracket.
