Common questions
Before you move your domain.
Will my site go down during the move?
No. We stage a full copy on our platform and test it before anything changes publicly. The DNS switch happens out of hours with TTLs lowered in advance, so visitors and email carry on as normal.
Who owns the domain?
You do. Domains are registered to your business as the legal owner, not to us. If you ever move on, we hand over the authorisation code and a copy of the DNS zone without argument.
Do you host sites you didn't build?
Yes, on most common platforms – WordPress, WooCommerce, static and standard PHP sites. We’ll check the site first and tell you honestly if it needs work before it moves.
Is email included with hosting?
Mailboxes are available as an add-on. We administer Microsoft 365 and provide a cost per mailbox, costs vary depending on licensing requirements but we can discuss this with you.
What happens if the site goes down at 2am?
External checks run every few minutes and alert our on-call engineers, not you. Platform-level faults are worked on immediately; you get an explanation of what happened rather than silence.
Can you fix a slow site as well as host it?
Usually, yes. Hosting removes the server-side causes; anything left is normally page weight or plugin bloat, which our web team can quote on separately.
Are we tied into a contract?
Hosting runs monthly or annually with a 30-day notice period. Migration in is free, and migration out is co-operative – we’d rather you stayed because it works.
